While at the store, I went through the salad bar and it dawned on me. The concept of iDoor Technology is similar to that of a salad bar: you get to choose what you want included!
iDoor Technology is a program where a wide variety of standardized hardware platforms and technologies can be pre-configured to meet specific customer needs. With iDoor Technology, users can select from several physical footprints, various communication connectivity types and protocols, standard memory and storage formats, as well as digital and analog input and output capabilities.
